Perhaps you can look into the slot part (if any) of the grid to be placed on surfaces rather than the floor.

Sorry, I'm still new to modding, so I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean make it so the grid can be put on tables, etc?

The Sims team needs to update it, to let it charge indoors when it's near a window.

Welcome to modding Yes! The grid looks weird on the ground than on the table. I was thinking the grid would be bigger with more slots to put pieces of crystal creations on and be placed on a table, but that is one of the two things I'm disappointed EA didn't do. The other is to create a job that allows crystal masters do more with their creations and earn money while at it.

I was able to modify your mod to place the grid on a surface other than the ground as shown in the picture. If you want me to upload my edit of your mod, let me know. I just like your mod and the way you think, so I wouldn't mind sharing with you what I was able to do with the Crystal Grids.

Below is a screenshot of the surfaces that the Crystal Grids can be placed on. But because of the size of the object, they cannot be placed on accent (or narrow) surfaces. They can be centered on the tables.

Can you please make a mod where you don't have to charge crystals at all and they're always fully charged?
